Introducing the Dutchess and the Duke. Well... not really, their album She's the Dutchess, He's the Duke came out sometime last year, but only recently have i stumbled upon them. They're opening for modest mouse tonight in Toronto, and i wanted to see if it was worth showing up early to catch their set. And i was rather pleasantly surprised at what i heard. I tend to adore the complicated. i love bands with too many members and instruments i've never heard of. But the immediacy of their sound, their simple melodies are lovely. I only wish i had heard of them sooner, because they would of been the perfect soundtrack for the summer.
